Ritual Chocolate Maker (United States)
Ritual Chocolate is an American bean-to-bar chocolate maker founded in 2010 by Anna Seear and Robbie Stout. Their philosophy is based on complete control of the process - from sourcing cocoa beans to crafting the final bar - in order to preserve the authenticity of flavour and the connection to the origin of each ingredient.
They source their beans from Ecuador, Peru, Madagascar, Belize, and the Philippines, working directly with farmers and paying above-average prices to support sustainable production. Their chocolates contain no additives or unnecessary ingredients - most are made with only two components: cocoa beans and organic sugar.
Ritual relies on traditional processing methods, including hand-breaking and grinding the beans, as well as conching on a 1915 vintage machine, which gives their chocolate its signature silky texture and clean aromatic profile.
