Coppeneur Chocolatier, Germany

In 2004, I discovered Copppeneur Chocolatier at ISM in Cologne, Germany, which at the time, was the world's largest chocolate trade show. What set Oliver Coppeneur apart from other exhibitors was the incredible quality of his truffles & pralines. He was also the first small-batch, bean-to-bar chocolate maker in Germany and purchases organic cocoa beans directly from farmers.

We're Oliver's North American importer.

Coppeneur Chocolatier is our focused brand, however, we sell a selection of complimentary, high quality, single-origin, bean-to-bar chocolate brands.


When I graduated from the University of Guelph with a BSc. (in molecular & cell biology), I suddenly found myself at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise and at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto studying to be a Chef.
In 1989, I partnered with my former Chef to create Filmworks Catering for the Calgary Film Industry. We operated Filmworks for 17 years  and then sold the business in 2006.

Off I went to another career in the film industry, this time as a cast driver.

Because I couldn't leave the food industry behind, my passion for great food became a passion for great chocolate!
