Notes: the Kahalu’u valley rests in the shadow of the steep Ko’olau mountain range and is cradled by the shallow waters of Kane’ohe bay. Ben Field is proud to provide cocoa beans for this bar from his 800 trees planted within lush vegetation. Inter-cropped with banana, turmeric, taro, breadfruit, and so many more, this cacao forest is a thriving example of what agroforestry done right can achieve.
