Notes: a marriage of two very different beans, both from the same origin. This dark chocolate bar combines our spring 2019 harvest Philippine cacao beans from Davao with freshly roasted coffee beans sourced by our friends Iona & Paolo of Kapé Philippine Coffee in Vancouver.
This semi-washed coffee is grown in the highlands of Bansalan, by award-winning coffee grower, Ate Marivic, part of a farmer owned co-operative in Davao del Sur. This synthesis of cocoa beans & coffee beans yields notes of dates, roasted chestnuts, and muscovado sugar.
